The General English Group Course is our most popular course. New students may join the course on any Monday and stay for as many weeks as they wish.
The language course develops all aspects of the English language including Speaking, Pronunciation, Listening, Reading, and Writing. The focus is on improving the student’s ability to communicate clearly and effectively. The course may be combined with private lessons in the afternoons (on two or five afternoons per week), or (at Easter and in Summer) with afternoon activities and day trips. In the off season we offer activities and excursions on request. The course is also part of our Erasmus Teacher Training Programmes.

We use the text-book ‘New English File Fourth Edition’ for our adult classes. While adult courses are based on the textbook our teachers try  to connect to your life and interests. The focus is on language use, rather than memorizing (grammar). We believe that learning a language means developing active, engaged learners who can take control of their learning and link their classroom learning experience to life outside the cass.

Every day you have two course parts taught by two different teachers to give you exposure to different accents and teaching styles.

Friday’s classes focus entirley on IELTS exam preparation (for lower level classes we chose the TIE exam instead) which is beneficial also for students who do not wish to prepare for the exam.

Non-EU students may book this course for 25 weeks (Academic Year 25 Week Programme).

Pre-testing before arrival ensures students can begin classes on their first morning. Students are placed in groups according to their level. The minimum entry age is 18 (16 in the off-season). New students can join the course on any Monday (except on weeks when Monday is a national holiday).
